Legal obligation
- From 11 December 2027 manufacturers mark products with digital elements with a type, batch or serial number or another element allowing identification. Where this is not possible, the information is given on the packaging or in the accompanying documents (Art. 13(15)).
- From 11 December 2027 the name or trade mark, the postal address, the email address or other digital contact details and, where available, the website of the manufacturer are given on the product or, if that is not possible, on the packaging or in the accompanying documents (Art. 13(16)).
- From 11 December 2027 the end date of the support period is stated clearly and understandably at the time of purchase, in an easily accessible way, on the product, its packaging or by digital means, at least with month and year (Art. 13(19)).
- From 11 December 2027 the CE marking is affixed visibly, legibly and indelibly to the product. Where the nature of the product does not allow this, it is affixed to the packaging and to the accompanying EU declaration of conformity (Art. 30(1)).
